Ottawa. —Careful watch is maintained by Canadian authorities to prevent the destructive "Japanese Beetle" from entering into Canada from the United States. All vehicles are examined at the border to assure that none of these pests are "stealing a ride.” They have been found on boats, motor trucks, trams and aeroplanes. In addition baited traps have also Ipeen placed all along the border to prevent their migration into the Dominion.
