OBITUARY
MRS ANNIE BOURKE. The death occurred this morning at the residence. 80 Perry Street. Masterton. of Mrs Annie Bourke. The late Mrs Bourke. was predeceased by her husband. Mr James Bourke. nine years ago. Landing at Foxton in the "Rakaia.” in 1879.. Mrs Bourke later came to Masterton. She resided at "Leylands," Opaki. for 35 years and came to live in Masterton three years ago. Mrs Bourke spent altogether 60 years in the district. Her quiet unassuming nature endeared her to a wide circle of friends. In the death of Mrs Bourke. Masterton loses one of its oldest identities. The late Mrs Bourke is survived by five daughters—Mosdames J. Connors (Masterton); A. Watson (Masterton); F. Sefton (Palmerston North); D. Knowles (Hamilton) I. W. Weston (Lincoln. Christchurch). There are seven grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren. The funeral will take place on Friday, leaving St Matthew's Church for the Masterton Cemetery, following the conclusion of a service eonnneiieiufi a t ” p in.
