N.Z. SHEEPOWNERS

WAIRARAPA EXECUTIVE. MEETING TN MASTERTON. A mooting of the Wairarnpa executive of the N.Z. Sheepowners' Federation was held in Masterton recently. Mr A. McDonald presided over a good attendance of members. Several matters of a routine nature were discussed and dealt with. In connection with the work of collecting information locally, to be placed before the Sheep Industry Commission, it was pointed' out that the joint sub-committee from the Farmers' Union and the Sheep Owners’ Federation has spent several days on this at considerable personal expense. The chairman thanked the committee for their work in this connection and pointed out that the report contained 36 typed foolscap sheets and covered very valuable information.

A copy of the minutes of the annual meeting of the Sheepowners’ Federation held in Wellington recently was received. This branch was represented by Messrs R. F. R. Beetham, W. F. McLaren and L. T. Daniell. It was left with the chairman and secretary to arrange a date for the annual meeting of the branch.
