DRILL REHEARSAL
PREPARATIONS FOR INTERHOUSE DISPLAY.
HIGH STANDARD REACHED.
At Masterton Park last evening the girls' teams competing in the interhouse drill display next Saturday held a rehearsal. The teams were put through their paces by Sergt.-Major C. E. Rogers and judging from the busi-ness-like manner in which they went about their allotted tasks the competition this year will be exceptionally keen. An excellent attendance of the public watched the proceedings with interest. A special feature which won the approval of the spectators was the mass drill display by nearly a 100 girls and when these girls parade again on Saturday in full dress the effect will be most pleasing. Credit is due to Sergt.-Major Rogers, who controlled the rehearsal. He expressed himself as being very pleased with the work the girls had done. Tie had no hesitation in saying that the display this year would be of a higher standard than previously. Indications are that the Masterton public will respond to the appeal to help this worthy cause which fosters an inter-house spirit and at the same time is beneficial to the girls taking part from a health point of view. The Masterton Municipal Band will be in attendance at the Park on Saturday.
