Board of Trade returns are disturbing. despite the fad that imports are well maintained in face of U-boat activities. Exports, however, show a staggering decline compared with October of last year. Re-exports similarly are affected. The "Manchester Guardian" considers that the figures provide the strongest possible argument for cutting clean through bureacratic and other obstacles now hampering exports.
