ST. JOHN AMBULANCE

CADET DIVISION DANCE. The dance held by the St. John Cadet Ambulance Division in the Masonic Hall last Saturday night was an outstanding success. The hall which was neatly decorated with black and white streamers, the colours of the Division, was filled. The music supplied by Jack Barnes and his Rhythm Boys, was much appreciated by the dancers present, and the duties of M.C. were very capably carried out by Mr Pat Ward. As this was the Division’s final dance of the year Mr C. S. McQuade. Cadet Superintendent, after thanking patrons for their attendance, thanked the orchestra for the splendid manner in which they had played throughout the year and also all those who had assisted with the running of the various dances. .He specially thanked the Ladies' Committee, Mr A. V. Dean, social committee secretary, and Mr Pat Ward, M.C., for the excellent manner in which they had carried out their respective duties during the season. The Lucky Spot Foxtrot was won by Miss P. Reynolds and Mr R. Ashe, while the winners of the Monte Carlo waltz were Miss Jennings and Mr Welch. Extras were played by Mr and Mrs C. Minifie. The Division wish to' extend its thanks to all those who have assisted these functions with various donations during the year.
