MEETING HOUSE
TE ORE ORE BUILDING FUND. DANCE IN MASTERTON. The dance organised by Mrs K. Te Tau and Mrs L. Pike in aid of Te Ore Ore Meeting House Rebuilding Fund, and held in the Municipal Hall. Masterton, was a successful and enjoyable one. The supper committee served a hot savoury supper. Those responsible for the management being Mesdames D. Albert, A. Anderson. F. Rimcnc, J. Reiri, T. Raeata, J. Haeata, W. Reside and the Misses M. Caroil. B. Savage. A. Savage. The lucky spot dance was won by Miss Nellie Caroll and partner, and the Monte Carlo by Miss M. Caroll- and partner. Mr L. Pike acted as M.C. and on behalf of Mrs Te Tau and Mrs Pike thanked everyone for their attendance thereby helping to make the dance such a success. Mrs Te Tau and her Melody Makers supplied the music. 'The hamper was won by Mr Booney Haeata. Donations were received from the following: Mr Albert, donation; Mrs Albert Himona, cakes; Mrs ,1. Reiri, cakes; Mr J. Solli. takes; Miss M. Barrer, bread; Mrs J. Haeata, bread and tea; Mrs M. Haeata, coffee; Mrs B. Haeata, sugar; Mr Joe Brown, tea; Mrs D. Himona. butter; Mrs M. Riwcne butter; Mrs B. Savage, mill:; Messrs Rein and Albert, prizes; Mrs J. Karaitiana. salmon; Mrs D. Andrews, lettuce; novelty dance prizes, Mrs D. Andrews, Mrs T. Nini, Mr R. Te Tau, Mr Allan Cameron, donation. The organisers thank those who made donations to Maoris at Te Ore Ore.
