FREE MILK
T CENTRAL SCHOOL PUPILS’ THANKS. ACKNOWLEDGED BY PREMIER. After the pupils of Central School had enjoyed their free milk supply for a week the Prefects of the school decided to write to the Prime Minister and tell him how much the children were enjoying the milk and thank him for allowing the children the opportunity of enjoying it. They were delighted to receive a letter in reply, signed by the Prime Minister, acknowledging their letter and expressing appreciation at the receipt of it. Mr Savage’s letter reads: —- "Dear Miss Wright,—l am in receipt of your letter of the 6th instant signed also by the other prefects of your school and desire on behalf of my colleagues and myself to say how very much we appreciate the expression of thanks which it conveys in connection with the milk supplied to the children attending your school. I am pleased to learn that this milk is enjoyed so much by the pupils. (Signed) M. J. Savage.”
