OBITUARY

MR EDWARD J. BROWN. The death occurred at the Masterton Hospital yesterday of Mr Edward John Brown. 26.961. 16th Reinforcement. Auckland Infantry Battalion. N.Z.E.F. The late Mr Brown who resided at Castlepoint had been in indifferent health for the last few years. The funeral took place, this morning, the service at the graveside being conducted by the Rev Father Dillon. The remains were interned in the soldiers’ plot. The pall bearers were representatives of the St Vincent de Paul Society, and the Returned Soldiers’ Association. It is understood that deceased has relatives living in Taranaki.
