CRICKET MATCH AT MASTERTON. ENDS IN A TIE. Yesterday afternoon a friendly cricket match was played on the Wairarapa College grounds. Masterton. between the State Fire and Accident Insurance (combined) and the local banks. The game was commenced at 3.45 o'clock under ideal conditions. Some humorous incidents occurred and the College students who were practicing at the-nets witnessed some brilliant (?) fielding and batting by both teams. A good afternoon's sport was experienced by the players and the match provided a very welcome respite from the cares of business. The double figure scorers were Young (State Fire) 20, Berry 19, Payne (South British) 12.
