DEANNA DURBIN

HER FIRST SCREEN KISS. For the first time in her screen career Deanna Durbin will be kissed in her Universal picture, “First Love.” And the lucky man who has drawn the assignment of giving Deanna her firs movie kiss is Robert Stack, who makes his screen bow in this film. Stack was chosen for this important role because Producer .Toe Pasternak long ago decided that Deanna’s first kiss would be delivered by an unknown actor. He knows that will forestall any criticism of the youth selected for the role, criticism that would be certain to follow the selection of any prominent actor, no matter whom. All through the picture Deanna and Helen Parrish, who plays a wealthy society girl, are rivals for Stack's attentions. Which one gets him in the end is still the secret of Pasternak and Director Henrv Koster —and they won’t tell.
