INGRID BERGMAN

NEEDS NO MAKE-UP. 1 Blonde and exceedingly fair-skinned Ingrid Bergman today has the dictinction of wearing the least make-up or any star ever photographed for Hollywood films. The make-up department of Selznick International Pictures, where Miss Bergman has been appearing opposite Leslie Howard in “Inter- j mezzo,” reports that the Swedish star

wore make-up only once during the entire picture. That was when she received a sunburn while working on location, and thus needed powder to tone down her skin. “It’s lucky for the make-up men in Hollywood,” they are saying, “that there aren’t more stars like Ingrid Bergman, because under ordinary circumstances she needs no make-up at all.”
