Plans for a general formal air conference are still held in abeyance. The Australian and New Zealand delegates informed tlie Associated Pres? that the four Governments, however, will "get together as soon as possible. The leader of the British air mission, Lord Riverdale, with his colleague Captain Balfour, today conferred with the Prime Minister. Mr Mackenzie King, and they issued a joint statement that the British and Canadian Governments are “entirely satisfied with the progress that is beingmade." The air mission delegates, including Mr Fairbairn, met Sir Brooke Popham. who said: “The training scheme is something the Empire can develop and Hitler cannot. All farsighted people in the United Kingdom are enthusiastic and believe tlie scheme shows clearly tlie Empires solidaiity and the contributions the Dominions want to make to the cause."
