NEW PRIVY COUNCILLOR
SOUTH AFRICAN CHIEF JUSTICE. (Received This Day, 1.10 p.m.) RUGBY. November 13. The King has approved the appointme of Mr Justice Nicolas Jackobyns De Wet, Chief Justice of the Union of South Africa, to be a member of the Privy Council. Mr Justice De Wet was Chief Censor and Assistant State Attorney to the South African Republic during the early part of the Boer War, and later military secretary to General Botha until the end of the Boer War.
