AIR MAIL STAMP

NEWFOUNDLAND SPECIMEN BRINGS £3OO. AT AUCTION IN LONDON. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.10 a.m.) RUGBY, November 13. An unused Newfoundland 60 cent air mail stamp was sold in a London stamp auction for £3OO. It was one of 300 issued for Commander de Pinedos flight from Newfoundland to Rome, in May, 1927. Air mail stamp collecting is experiencing a tremendous wave of popularity—particularly among American and Canadian collectors.
