GESTAPO PURSUIT
QUEST FOR BEER HALL BOMBER DESCRIPTION OF WANTED WORKMAN. INTENSIVE PROPAGANDA. The Nazi police chief. Herr Himmler, has announced that a workman, whose description, is broadcast, is suspected ot causing the explosion, a radio message reports. He said that the person being sought was often seen in the beer cellar. He was from 30 to 35 years of age with “unparted" hair. He usually wore dirty, yellowish working clothes. Herr Himmler added that he had evidence that the explosion was planned as far back as August. Neutral newspapers contain statements that hundreds of people have been arrested. The population has been warned not to talk about the arrests, and people are even fearful to talk about the incident at all. In the meantime the Nazi Press is still trying to pin the blame on Britain, and papers quote statements by Mr Chamberlain and other leading British statesmen, showing their dislike of the Nazi regime. At the same time. German newspapers are putting the best possible construction on the incident, and are emphasising how it is to Germany's advantage.
