GREYHOUND RACING

SATURDAY’S EVENTS. At the Solway Showgrounds tomorrow afternoon commencing at 2 o'clock the second meeting of the season will be held by the local club. A Sapling Stake will be run during the day for all puppies under the age of twelve months. This should prove an interesting contest as several young dogs have shown good form in trials. “All Cash” is perhaps the most outstanding sapling this season, and should perform well. Other likely winners are Silver and Bit o’ Blue. The Solway Maiden is perhaps the most interesting race of the day. With such good dogs as Ballaramaine, Helen Rufus and Bronze Moth, good racing and fast times should be assured. The following officials will have control of the events: —Judges, Messrs W. Buick and P. Welch; starter, Mr J. Hanley; track steward, Mr L. M. Archer: secretary and treasurer, Mr E. K. Eastwood.
