MASTERTON SALE
The Associated Auctioneers report on their weekly sale held yesterday, as follows: —There was a good yarding of sheep both wholly and shorn, which were submitted to a small attendance. Fat sheep mot an easier market while stores were much harder to quit than recent sales resulting in many passings. Pigs were in good demand. The few cattle sold at late rates. Following were the prices:—
Fat sheep: Fat woolly wethers. 24s 9d: shorn, 18s 9d, 19s, 20s 9d, 21s to 23s 6d; fat woolly ewes, 225; shorn, 15s to 16s 2d; fat b.f. 2-ths„ 21s to 225; fat hoggets. 21s to 23s 6d. Store sheep: 4-th. wethers, 17s 8d to 18s lOd; 2-th. wethers. 16s to 16s 7d; woolly 4-th. wethers, 20s 6d: woolly wether hoggets, 20s 6d to 22s 3d; small, i6s; b.f. 2-ths., 15s, 16s to 16s lOd: store woolly ewes, 10s 4d; woolly ewe hoggets, 22s 6d; small do.. 13s 6d to 17s.
Cattle: Fat dairy cows, £4 to £6 7s 6d; cow in milk, £4; yearling heifers. £3 Ils; 2-yr. P.A. bulls, 17gns. Pigs: Wenners, 17s, 19s to 21s: slips. 27s to 30s; porkers, £1 14s. £1 15s. £2 Is to £2 9s.
