BURMA’S POSITION
ASSURANCE BY BRITAIN. PLACE IN COMMONWEALTH. Bj’ Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. RANGOON. November 7. The Governor told Ministers that Britain had given an assurance that she would use her greatest endeavours to give Burma a due place in the British Commonwealth. He added that Burma would not adopt the Indian Congress tactics, but deserved and was capable of assimilating a greater measure of reforms than India.
