ATTACKS REPULSED
FRENCH OFFICIAL REPORT WEST FRONT FIGHTING. GERMAN RECONNAISSANCE FLIGHTS. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright. (Received This Day, 10.20 a.m.) PARIS, November 8. A French communique states: “We repulsed three attacks near the Luxembourg frontier and 14 east of that district and near Onrenthal. A New York message quotes the Paris corespondent of the Associated Press of America as stating that military circles confirm the report that German reconnaissance planes flew deep into French territory yesterday.
AIR LOSSES BIG MARGIN CLAIMED BY GERMANS. (Received This Day. 10.20 a.m.) ' LONDON. November 8 A communique from Berlin slates that there were more lively artillery fire and reconnaissances on the West Front yesterday. A British plane was brought, down near the mouth of the Wupper and a French one near Volklingen. with others near Saarlautern. Our anti-aircraft fire brought down nine enemy machines in the first week of November. Our losses during the same time were two shot down and three missing.
