BRUTALISING YOUTH
APPARENT AIM OF NAZI POLICY. OBSERVATIONS BY GERMAN DOCTOR. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY. November 6. . A German medical writer who has found sanctuary in England after personal experience of the concentration camps at Dachau and Buchenwald, contributes an article to the current quarterly issue of the "Catholic Medical Guardian.” confirming in almost every detail what has been published in the White Paper and analysing many severe pathological effects on the prisoners of the hardships they endure and the tortures that are inflicted. Discussing the effect of the barbarities not only on prisoners but on gaolers, which lie believes to be the result of a deliberate policy. the writer says: "It is interesting to note in this tragic connection that parties of the Hitler Youth, are frequently taken' through the camps. It is difficult to escape the conclusion tiial one of the functions of these institutions is to produce systematic brutalisation of German youth of military age.
