WOMAN’S DEATH
INOUEST ADJOURNED SiNE DIE. TRAGEDY AT AUCKLAND. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND. November 7. An inquest into the death of Mrs Beatrice Florence Rita Laurie, who was found dead at her home at Belmont yesterday, opened today before the coroner. Mr Hunt. Evidence of identification was given by William Henry Wheeler, master plumber. Takapuna, who said that the deceased was his sister and 39 years of age. He last saw her alive at Takapuna about six weeks ago.
The inquest was adjourned sine die. The condition of Francis Leonard Laurie, who was admitted to hospital yesterday after being found in his bedroom at the Station Hotel with his wrist gashed, was reported today to be satisfactory. The condition of Mrs Annie Josephine Laycock, who was also admitted to hospital with her wrist gashed, was at first serious, but improved yesterday afternoon. The improvement has not been maintained today.
