REGENT THEATRE

“THE SUN NEVER SETS." Screening finally tonight this thrilling tribute to the traditions and loyalties of the British Empire, concludes a most successful season. Superbly cast with Basil Rathbone, ‘ Douglas Fairbanks Junr., C. Aubrey Smith, Lionel Atwill and Virginia Field, it grips and holds the imagination from first to last. “YOU CAN'T CHEAT AN HONEST MAN.” An array of talent that reads like "Who's Who in Hollywood” was assembled for Universal's "You Can't Cheat an Honest Man.” which opens at the Regent Theatre tomorrow. Heading the cast of this comedy, declared one of the best ever to come out of Hollywood, are W. C. Fields, Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy. For a comedy combination they are hard to beat. Fields has been a star in his own right for nearly 40 years. Mortimer Snerd, Constance Moore, Princess Baba and Blacaman the animal hypnotist, are featured in important roles. The remainder of the cast is comprised of seasoned veterans of both stage and screen. They include Mary Forbes, Thurstal Hall, John Arledge, Charles Coleman, Edward Brophy, Arthur Hohl. Eddie Anderson, Grady Sutton, Ferris Taylor, James Bush and David Oliver. The picture was skilfully produced by Lester Cowan and directed by George Marshall, Hollywood’s ace comedy director. A superb array of supporting featurettes complete an outstanding entertainment.
