TALK TO GERMANY
BROADCAST BY BRITISH MINISTER EXPANSIONS OF THE ALLIED EFFORT. ' VITAL FACTOR OF AMERICAN SUPPLIES. Rv Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright LONDON. November 6. The Minister of Supply, Mr E. L. Burgin, broadcasting to Germany today in German, stated that, with American help, Britain and France will soon be producing double Germany’s aeroplanes.
Mr Burgin, after stating that he knew Germany and the Germans intimately. declared that America’s repeal of the arms embargo would farreachingly affect the course of war. British could easily take advantage of the cash-and-carry clause, and America’s resources would provide the Allies with an industrial hinterland of the greatest magnitude. America’s annual steel production equalled that of the whole of Europe, and she had over two-thirds of the world’s oil production. Britain and France had great resources, and their Empire’s resources were still greater. Briefly, the Allies'supplies were endless. whereas Germany's must end early.
