GLACE KID SHOES
METHOD OF TREATMENT. Glace kid shoes should have a dressing of shoe cream every day and this should be applied with a clean rag and then given a quick rub with a soft duster or pad. Suede must have the nap brushed up every day, and the leather should be dressed with liquid suede cleaner at least once a week. It is not enough merely to brush these shoes every now and again. Ordinary shoe leather will dry very quickly and therefore wrinkle and crack if neglected. The natural oils, which keep it supple, should bo replenished with proper polish and cream. The advice of the salesman in the shoe shop should not be scorned in this matter. The great thing with shoes is to find out which is the best shape for one’s foot and then stick to that shape Makers will always copy shoes, providing one is prepared to wait for them and to pay just a little more for them. With regard to shoes made from the skins of reptiles, it must be noted that all these leathers need cleaning and preserving, and the proper cleaner should be obtained when the shoes are purchased.
