“ONLY THE TRUTH”
ACCORDING TO GOEBBELS ADDRESS TO HITLER YOUTH. REFERENCES TO BRITISH PROPAGANDA. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. (Received This Day. 10.5 a.m ). BERLIN. November 5. Dr. Goebbels, addressing members of the Hitler Youth Movement, said: "If. owing to puerile shyness, people abroad arc ashamed of propaganda. I am not too shy to use propaganda, even tendentious propaganda, which is a dangerous weapon only if directed against the people. It can be the greatest blessing if used in the service of the nation. “Stupid British leaflets." he added, “are unable to harm us. Nobody listens to voices from enemy camps. British lies cannot disturb the German people’s calm and balance of mind. Whereas during the Great War British propaganda was a bogey to the German people and the Army command, today it is nothing more than a laughingstock. There is no need for us to counter lies with lies. We give only the naked truth.”
