GOLD MINING RETURNS.
The Nevz River dredge returned 20 ounces for 106 hours from 7400 yards. The While’s Electric return totalled 27 ounces for 108 hours from 7000 yards. The Nemona dredge returned 18 ounces for 186 hours. The dredge is reported to be digging through a bar of bottom, which is running across the creek. The Worksop return totalled 22 ounces for 117 hours from 8000 yards. Alexander Mines, Limited, report the following gold returns for the month of October, 1939. Battery department: 275 tens of ore crushed for lOloz. of melted gold. Cyanide department: 210 tons of sands treated for 40oz. of bullion. Estimated value: £1025. In addition, 5.5 tons of concentrates were saved, valued at £l5O. V Cimating the above taken at 160 s per fine The Argo dredge return "was 290 z. for 126 hours from 12.000 yards.
