AUSTRALIAN ABORIGINE

FOUGHT AT TRAFALGAR

Mow many of us are aware than an Australian aborigine fought with Nelsen’s Fleet at the Battle of Trafalgar? This colony had only been settled for about 16 years when that famous battle was won by England's great naval genius. The native was considered a very gentlemanly person and held the rank of second captain of the foretop on Nelson’s ship. H.M.S. Victory.

The “abo” was promoted for his wonderful fighting abilities. —E. 8.8. in Sydney “Morning Herald.”
