WAIRARAPA CRICKET

CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES BOWLERS GENERALLY ON TOP. FRANK HOAR DOES HAT TRICK. The Wairarapa Cricket Association’s matches were continued last Saturday in fine but cold weather and after a morning in which rain fell. The bowlers generally had the best of matters, and in the Red Star-Wairarapa College match Frank Hoar again accomplished the feat of taking three wickets in successive balls—the much coveted “hat trick.” Dave Groves bowled exceptionally well for Lansdowne against Old Boys. The highest senior score of the day was made by Frank Hoar.
