PLUNKET SOCIETY MONTHLY MEETING. (“Times-Age" Special.) The monthly meeting of the Plunket Society was held in the Society's rooms yesterday afternoon. There were present Mesdames Bloxam (in the chair). J. G. McKenzie, E. M. Wakely, G. Yule. D. C. Collins, G. S. Sharp. J. A. Halpin, Roy Donald, V. Bergh. S. S. Kilsby, and J. Willett. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames R. W. Matthews, N. C. C. Shepherd. M. C. Turner, J. H. Matthews. A. R. Robbins, and T. C. Burton. Accounts totalling £62 7s 7d were passed for payment. A credit of £761 3s lid was reported. One new member was elected. The work of refurnishing the rooms which has just been completed met with the approval of those present. The Nurse reported as follows: — Babies under supervision 67; pre-school children under supervision 36; new cases during last month 6; analysis naturally fed 5, partially naturally fed 1; visits to rooms, adults 59. babies 57, pre-school children 5, total 121; visits to homes, new cases 14. old cases 43. total 57: telephone calls and messages 30; miles travelled in car 588; districts visited. Featherston, South Featherston. Kaiwaiwai, Pukio. Pahautea, Kahautara, Cross Creek. Western Lake, Dyerville, Otaraia, Pirinoa, Lower Valley, Ruamahanga. CRICKET INTERHOUSE GAMES. The following were the result of the interhouse games played yesterday:— Girls: Nikau lost to Kowhai; Konini lost to Rata. Boys: Rata lost to Konini; Kowhai lost to Nikau.RACING CLUB MEETING OF STEWARDS. At the monthly meeting of the Stewards of the Wairarapa Racing Club there were present Messrs D. C. Collins (in the chair). D. Cameron, Roy Donald, J. F. Thompson. C. J. Nix, H. Lawson and N. C. C. Shepherd (secretary). Apologies for absence were received from Messrs J. W. Card. W. Howard Booth, Percy Tilson, A. C. Pearce, J. G. Donald and R. A. Donald. The receipts since last meeting totalled £32. Accounts passed for payment amounted to £77. Three new members were elected. The chairman of the course committee reported that everything at the course was in first-class order. The Chief Commissionei- of Girl Guides wrote stating that the camp would be held at the racecourse next. January as previously arranged, but that the numbers would be cut down considerably, and that buildings applied for would not now be required. CROQUET MATCH CHALLENGERS DEFEATED. In a match for the Association Gold Buttons, played on the Featherston Club’s lawns, the holders, Mrs Saunders and Miss Lyford (Featherston) defeated the challengers. Mesdames. Polson and E.
