RIOTING IN VILNA
TROUBLE OVER DEAR BREAD CAVALRY CALLED OUT. JEWISH SHOPS LOOTED. By Te'egraoh—Press Association—Copyright (Received This Day, 10.45 a.m.) KAUNAS", November 3. The German Press reports that rioting has occurred in Vilna during the past two days and that demonstrations by Polish youths near Marshal Pilsudski's grave forced the authorities to call out cavalry. The rioting began in bread queues when the crowds learned that the price had been trebled. Jewish shops were looted.
