EMPIRE WAR PLANS

DISCUSSIONS IN LONDON MEETINGS OF MINISTERS CONTINUED. GOOD PROGRESS INDICATED. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, November 2. The consultations between the visiting representatives of the Dominions and Indian Governments and United Kingdom .Ministers continued today, when progress was made in the task ol' unifying and strengthening the war effort exerted by the British Commonwealth as a whole. Individual conversations took place this morning, particularly on questions concerning civil aviation and shipping. By this means, it has been found, special problems affecting one or two only of the Dominions can be most expeditiously handled. In the afternoon the strategic needs and problems of the Empire as a whole were under review.

RESULTS OF VALUE SOME OFFICERS TO REMAIN IN LONDON. (Received This Day, 10.45 a.m.) LONDON. November 3. British Ministers regard the value of their talks with Dominion Ministers as already exceeding expectations. It is not proposed to create a permanent Ministerial body in London to carry on the work, but specialists, including service officers and economic supply experts who accompanied the Ministers to London, will remain as part of an enlarged staff, acting in conjunction with the High Commissioner, to deal with war problems.
