MINING STRIKE
FIFTEEN THOUSAND MEN IDLE ■ IN N.S.W. ON ACCOUNT OF ENGINEERS' DEMANDS. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. SYDNEY. November 3. Nearly all the coal mines in the northern field are idle today, involving 15.000 employees, because ot a strike of 300 mine engineers, who refused to obey their executive and return to work. Miners' officials have gone to Melbourne tonight to obtain the intervention of the Commonwealth Arbitration Court.
