REPRESENTATION AT EXHIBITION.
At a meeting of the executive of the Wah-arapa branch of the New Zealand Crippled Children’s Society accounts totalling .£33 14s JOd for educational fees and dental treatment were passed for payment. A letter of appreciation was received from the parents of a boy for whom the Society had provided part of the cost of artificial limbs.
It was reported that two boys were at present undergoing cleft palate operations which were being performed by a specialist. A report regarding a youth who obtained a position with a Wellington firm of public accountants indicated that he was making good progress. Arrangements are being made for him to attend classes at the Wellington Technical College with the object of passing the accountancy examinations. It was stated that visitors from the Wairarapa to the Centennial Exhibition should not miss the exhibits by the crippled children from all over New Zealand. The Wairarapa will be represented by thirty-one articles on display. _
