FEATHERSTON
HOME NURSING PRESENTATION OF CERTIFICATE. ("Times-Age” Special.) The lecturer at the Home Nursing meeting on Wednesday night was Miss Higginson, Matron of the Greytown Hospital. The certificates gained by successful members at the recent elementary examination were presented by Dr. G. S. Sharp, who congratulatd the candidates on their efforts. Mr J. E. Willett received the Red Cross Medalion, and Mr H. Clark an intermediate certificate. A vote of thanks was passed to Miss Higginson for her interesting address. CROQUET FIRST INTER-CLUB MATCH. In the first inter-club match, played against Masterton, at Masterton, the Featherston Club won three games and lost three games. Particulars of the games are as follows, Featherston players mentioned first: — Doubles: Mesdames Saunders and Thompson 26, beat Mesdames Bassett and Polson, 24; Miss Lyford and Mrs O’Neale 16. lost to Mesdames Doggett and Donnelly 26. Singles: Mrs Saunders 26. beat Mrs Polson 16; Miss Lyford 18. lost to Mrs Donnelly 26; Mrs O’Ncale 26. beat Mrs Bassett 13; Mrs Thompson 5. lost to Mrs Doggett 26. St. John’s Church. The sacrament of Confirmation will be administered in St. John’s Church by the Bishop of Christchurch on Wednesday evening.
