ASSURANCES BY GOVERNMENT OF IRAQ. BAN ON POLITICAL ACTIVITY. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, November 1. In reply to a question in the House of Commons the Foreign Under-Secre-tary .Mr R. A. Butler, stated that the Government of Iraq itad been informed of (lie attitude of the British Government to the ex-Mufti of Jerusalem and Iraq had given assurances that the ex-Mufti would not be allowed to be politically active himself, or to allow his presence to be used as an occasion for agitation by others.
