PRICE OF MEAT

INCREASED IN DUNEDIN. ( (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, November 1. The price of meat will be raised by Id a lb in Dunedin and suburbs from tomorrow. This increase is authorised by the Food Controller and is the outcome of a full investigation of the meat trade in Dunedin by an officer of his department, who made a thorough investigation of conditions, and the price ol meat ruling in this city. It is represented that the advance in the price that is now being made will not be sufficient to cover the continually rising costs at Burnside market. A further increase in mutton prices was recorded at today's sales.
