Mrs H. P. Hugo, Renall Street. Masterton, is visiting Dunedin. Miss N. Jensen, of Wellington, who had been the guest of Mrs M. J. Coppell, of Ballance, has returned home. Miss L. Armstrong, of Greytown, has returned after a holiday spent in Hamilton.
Mrs Clarris, of Hataitai. Wellington, is visiting her daughter. Mrs C. C. Horsbrugh, Whareama. Mrs D. O. L. I-lowden, of Hawera. is the guest of Mrs H. Cornelius. Mangahao.
Mr and Mrs R. R. Page, of Essex Street, Masterton, were visitors to Dunedin for the golden wedding of Mr and Mrs James Brown.
Mr and Mrs W. Peel, of Napier, and former well known residents of Masterton, ' were recent visitors to Masterton.
The death occurred at Kumeroa yesterday of Mrs Nellie Tremorran Lynch, widow of the late Mr P. H. Lynch, at the age of 86 years. Mr and Mrs J. K. Newton. Christchurch. who have been staying with Mrs A. McDonnell. Masterton. have returned home. Miss L. Edwards, who is at present leaching at the Newman School, will retire early next year. Miss Edwards has been for many years a member of the Masterton branch of the Women Teachers’ Association ■ and secretary of the Ekelahunn branch.
