RIFLE SHOOTING TARARUA CLUB MATCH. ("Times-Age” Special.) A competition between teams selected by the President and Vice-president marked the opening of the season by the Tararua Defence Rifle Club. There was a large attendance and the weather conditions were good. The President’s team won by two points after a close shoot. A trophy donated by Mr W. J. Manser was won by F. Sigvertsen after a shoot-off with R. Foss. At a general meeting after the shoot it was resolved that to conserve ammunition the season’s shooting should be restricted to one trophy shoot, four cup shoots, and the service shoot, besides the Triangular matches. The next competition will be held on December 2.
