The agency adds that the losses are confined to three U-boats known to be overdue. The Supreme Command states that lhe total losses due to enemy activity on the West front from September 3 to October 17. since when they have not been materially altered, were 196 dead. 356 wounded and 144 missing. Eleven aeroplanes were lost.
