WAGE INCREASE
GRANTED TO BRITISH DOCK WORKERS. WAR BONUS FOR WOMEN IN GARMENT TRADE. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright LONDON, October 31. Thousands of dock workers will receive an increased wage of a shilling daily. Tite minimum daily wage at the large ports will be 14s, and at smaller ports, 13s. More than 30,000 London workers in the women's garment trade will receive. as from November 6. a 10 per cent increase in their wages as a war bonus.
