POLES AND JEWS SUBJECTED TO INDIGNITY. MEASURES OF WHOLESALE ROBBERY. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright LONDON. October 30. A Copenhagen report says that because of the "impudent and arrogant" attitude of the Poles, new regulations oblige Poles to get off the pavement when German soldiers and members of the Nazi Party pass. Jews are not allowed on the pavement at all. and are forbidden, to possess more than 2000 zlotys (£80). All debts to Jews of more than 500 zlotys have been cancelled. Jews are not permitted* Red Cross assistance or to own wireless sets. Shops must serve Germans first, then Poles, and Jews last of all. Quiet has been restored in Bohemia after the demonstrations in connection with the celebration of the anniversary of the founding of the Czech Republic.
