GENERAL MIAJA
REPUBLICAN COMMANDER IN MADRID. EXILED AND DEPRIVED OF PROPERTY. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received This Day, 11.45 a.m.) LONDON, October 21. The British United Press Madrid correspondent states that the Melilla Court of Responsibilities sentenced General Miaja (commander at Madrid for the Republicans), who is at present in Mexico, to 15 years’ exile, loss of political rights and confiscation of property. Senora Miaja was fined a million dollars.
