Camp Road, known to tens of thousands of New Zealanders in the Great War as the main entrance to Trentham camp, will now take second place. The main entrance to the new Central District mobilisation camp will be from Granville Road, which runs south of Camp Road and alongside the railroad. Granville Road has been scaled, as has the main road into the camp leading from it. The main roads in the camp and the lanes between the rows of tents have also been sealed. The camp has extended so far that, with completion of work now in hand, its southern boundary will be only a few hundred yards from Heretaunga Station. Camp road will still bo the main entrance to the Army School of Instruction and ordnance section of the camp.
