COX PLATE PROSPECTS HIGH "CASTE AND GOLD SALUTE. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. MELBOURNE. October 27. High Caste and Gold Salute are both fit for tomorrow’s Cox Plate event, which is overshadowing the Moonee Valley Cup in public interest. The track is excellent and there is a possibility of a new time record. Trainer T. George expects- Beau Vite to improve on recent form, but is not confident of downing the other pair. Catalogue has never been better. Keen judges suggest that the veteran is capable of causing an upset. Te Hero, who is an acceptor for the Dundonald Handicap, is the fastest horse in the field, but barrier uncertainty may jeopardise his chance.
