November 17, 1925, was the occasion of the opening of the New Zealand and South Seas Exhibition at Dunedin. and it was also the date of the birth of a young South Island girl now at Nelson College. The General Manager of the New Zealand Centennial Exhibition, Mr C. P. Hainsworth-j--who was also General Manager of the Dunedin Exhibition —received a letter from this girl reminding him that he had given her a silver spoon to mark the occasion of her birth 14 years ago, as it was also the opening day of the Exhibition. Miss Edna May McNabb is the girl’s name and she. hopes to visit the Centennial Exhibition and see Mr Hainsworth once again.
