ALFREDTON

FAREWELL GATHERING (“Times-Age” Special.) There was a large attendance of dancers at the Alfredton Hall on Saturday night when the settlers of the district gathered to bid farewell to Mr and Mrs S. K. (“Tog”) Raleigh. Music was supplied by the Eketahuna orchestra and a dainty buffet supper was served in the lounge. During the evening Mr D. M. Parsonson, on behalf of those present, presented the guests with a chiming clock, and expressed the regret with which they parted with such popular residents. Mr Raleigh suitably responded. Mr and Mrs Raleigh have purchased a home in Wellington. TENNIS CLUB OPENING OF SEASON. The Alfredton Tennis Club held its opening day on Labour Day.
