ADDINGTON SALE. VALUES SLIGHTLY BETTER. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, October 25. Values at Addington today were slightly better than those of a week ago. Store sheep: Shorn hoggets sold at from 12s to 19s lOd, medium and bestI wooled at from 16s to 28s; and ewes and lambs, at from 9s 9d to 15s sd. Fat sheep: Wethers improved by Is to Is 6d a head on last week, and ewes, particularly those that were shorn, met an improved market. Fat cattle: The decline of 20s to 30s a head of last week was partly offset by the sale today, the average improvement being about 20s a head. Pigs: Again there was a large entry of porkers, and last week’s good rates were maintained. Choppers were in good supply, and values were a good deal easier. Baconers, which were penned in medium numbers, made much the same values as last week. Choppers made £2 Ils to £6 8s 6d; porkers, £2 8s 6d to £3 5s 6d, an average price a lb of 7Jd to 8?d; baconers, £3 5s 6d to £5 9s 6d, an average price a lb of 63d to 73d. ;
