October 25. “The Times” Rotterdam correspondent states that the most notable feature of Herr von Ribbentrop’s speech is that he did not claim any allies. The German people have never so plainly been told that they stand alone. There was a world of difference between his references to Russia on this occasion and his boast to pressmen when he went to Russia that England and France would have to face Germany and Russia if thev did not accept peace. WAR TO THE DEATH ACCORDING TO GERMAN PRESS. (Received This Day, 10.50 a.m.LONDON, October 25. A Berlin message states that the Press generally suggests that Herr von Ribbentrop’s speech means war to the death with England. The “Boersen Zeitung” SLys: “From now everything depends, not upon diplomatic manoeuvres, but upon the strength of weapons alone.”
