FOR THE ANKLES

CELERY REDUCING LOTION. And here is a celery reducing lotion which can be used on the ankles. Carefully wash a stick of celery, cut it into small pieces, add enough water to cover it, and then boil. Allow to simmer for ninety minutes or until the celery breaks as you lift it with a fork. Strain, allow to cool, and to each tablespoonful of the celery liquid add the same quantity of methylated spirit and five drops of vinegar.

Massage your ankles every night with the fingers, which have been dipped in the solution, always stroking from the instep towards the calf. When all the moisture has been absorbed by the skin, sit down and practice turning the foot with a circular movement, keeping all the movement in the ankle joints.
